Since 1987, Tayberry Music has built a loyal following of music lovers and enthusiasts. Founded by Margaret Tice and her son Frank, Tayberry Music became the go-to source for music heard on NPR’s nationally syndicated program called Thistle & Shamrock. The personal service and touch the Tices brought to the company solidified Tayberry Music as the #1 outlet for more obscure Celtic and folk recordings.

After two wonderful decades of Tayberry Music, Margaret Tice made the difficult decision to retire in 2007. Having conducted business with Compass Records over the years, Tice was confident the company would be a good fit within the Compass Records Group, which acquired the company in whole.

Personal interest and offering a broad selection of great recordings is at the forefront of the Compass Records philosophy.
